Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn >16 yr 10-20 mL up to qid, 12-16 yr 10-15 mL up to qid, 10-12 yr 10 mL qid, 8-10 yr 7.5 mL qid, 6-8 yr 5 mL qid.

Drug Interactions

Increased hepatotoxicity w/ barbiturates, TCAs & alcohol. Prolonged plasma t_½ w/ alcohol. Increased absorption by metoclopramide or domperidone; reduced absorption by colestyramine. Enhanced anticoagulant effect of warfarin & other coumarins. Possible reduced metabolism of zidovudine. Reduced plasma conc & faster elimination rate w/ anticonvulsants & OCs.
